Some of the places in Kolkata like Decker's Lane (for its food), Chandni (for its electronic / electrical shops) and also Radhabajar (for watches) are interesting. Does the Nahoum Cake shops run by Jews still exist in New Market? By the way did you go to the book fair. My father says, it was not well organised this time around. Anyway update on the meeting regarding Stroke. The visiting Member in our place, gave my father lot of advise how they promote Stroke Foundation of NZ among people. In New Zealand people who have had strokes (and survived) and their families are the main source behind this organisation. There are stoke club in almost all colonies where not just doctors but people from all strata / age group / profession join in. He said people from all profession actually support the event. For example - a designer say, designs the brochures for free and all. My father was very impressed with his ideas. They were very eager to support SFB in any way one may ask them to do. He infact promised to keep in touch too. SFB is run by some very able doctors and some volunteers like my father. I hope they can help generate awareness for this disease and can get inside people's mind to cure / prevent strokes. Beautiful.
